Shigatse has a history going back more than 600 years and it is this ancient holy city that is the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama, one of the spiritual leaders in Tibet. The city is also the cultural, economic and political center of Tibet.

Trip Itinerary of Tibet Lhasa Shigatse Tour

DAY 01: Journey- Lhasa by Air/ Flight  
You’ll be arriving in Lhasa by flight or either by trains. In Lhasa; you will be stay at the traditional Dhood Gu Hotel. It is so nice hotel and situated at the distance of ½-an hour far from the airport. And where your day will be spending with warmly by exploring sight-Seeing of Lhasa. Lhasa.

DAY 02: In Lhasa 

Now your journey will be fit toward the Jokhang Temple. This temple is the most revered shrine in all of Tibet. Then after make you visit to Barkor city. It is a wonderful crowed city of Lhasa. After visit to Sera Monastery North of Lhasa and is home to several hundred monks. It is a fifteenth century sprawl of golden roofs and whitewashed walls and oldest temple of Tibet

DAY 03: In Lhasa 

Your trip will be toward Potola Palace, the capital of city of Tibet. It is situated at height top with surrounding by no of Chortens, monastery, garden etc.  The Potola palace used to stay by late 5th Dalia Lama. This truly amazing day will ended with a visit to the Drepung Monastery. Once the world's largest monastery, housing 10,000 monks, Drepung monastery lies hidden in rocky ridges just beyond the city.

Day 04: Lhasa-Gyangtse then to Shigatse 

Today you will  have to cross two high passes stand with height 5000m Khambo La and Kharo La plus one beautiful Lake - Yamdrok Tso(lake) provide wondrous views of the Himalayan range. A colossal glacier rises nearly straight up from the road as we pass Kharo La. Then you will be drive through passing no of Tibetan valleys. When reach Gyantse, you will be feeling and experiencing expansive views of the of ancient Dzong and Kumbum and more wondrous Tibetan culture. The Kumbum is surrounded by numerous Tibetan murals and small chapel houses. After the visit to Gyangtse you will be drive to Shigatse for an hr. It is the 2nd largest city of the Tibet

DAY 05: Shigatse sightseeing then back to Lhasa 

In Shigatse you visit to Tashilungpo Monastery, local carpet factory, the free market, It is very intriguing to see how ancient Tibetan culture compares to the modern day culture we will experience. There are endless amounts of sights, both modern and ancient, to see around this city. Then after back to Lhasa.

DAY 06: Flight from Lhasa to your next destination 

Experience the wondrous sight of the Himalayas for one last time as we fly back to Katmandu.

Shuttle Service between hotels and Airport/Train Station:
As for Lhasa Gongar airport is 70km from the downtown, it is hard for us to arrange free shuttle service at any given time.
So, our travel agency can only offer free shuttle service to pick up/drop off tourists between hotels and Gongga airport twice a day at a designated time. Some of the tourists may have to wait for others for a longtime beyond our designated time.

The free airport pick-up time is as follows on the day the itinerary begins:
Pick up tourists around 12:20 pm ( for flights arrival at airport before 12:20pm) Please join on this time.

The free airport drop time is as follows on the day the itinerary closes:
Pick up tourists from hotel around 11:00am (for flights which depart after 13:30pm)

All the shuttle service from/to the train station on the date of tourists’ arrival and departure would be free.

Exception
If tourists want shuttle service not included in the designated time frame or they prefer not to wait for the free shuttle service, they are required to pay extra 50USDollar/airport for airport shuttle bus service, which needs a report to travel consultant when booking the tour. If any clients need private vehicle pick up or drop off. It is 2USDollar per kilometer and its 140kms.
