Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking is one among the popular trek in Nepal. This trekking is also regarded as the small Annapurna Circuit Trek and it leads to the early morning pilgrimage to Poon Hill for a spectacular sunrise view over the Himalayas.The trail emerges at Ghorepani (2819m),a cluster of hotels and an ACAP office below the pass some three hours from Ulleri. Ghorepani,meaning "horse water,"there are more hotels at the pass,Ghorepani , Deorali which is 200ft higher.

Trekkers should make certain they catch the views,either from the pass itself, which is now incredibly deforested, or from east or west of the pass. Poon Hill (3210m) on the ridge to the west is a popular viewpoint. Reach the hill in less than 1 hour. Signs point the way to poon hill from Ghorepani and from the pass.

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu/ Nepal/ transfer to hotel
Day 02: Full day guided sightseeing-visit Nepal’s main sightseeing spots
Day 03: Dive from Kathmandu to pokhara it takes seven hour by bus/car /van.
Day 04: Dive from pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Ghandruk (1950m) stay at teahouse lodge
Day 05: Trek Ghandruk (1950m) to Ghorepani (2850m) and stay at teahouse lodge
Day 06: Visit Poon Hill (3210m), back to the lodge, breakfast and trek to Tikhedhunga (1540m) and stay at teahouse lodge            
Day 07: Trek Tikhedhunga (1540m) to Nayapul (1070m) drive to Pokhara and stay in hotel.
Day 08: Free day in Pokhara for personal activities or join onward program from next day or drive back to Kathmandu
