Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu - Chengdu
Day 02: Sightseeing in Chengdu
Day 03: Chengdu - Kangding
The Chengdu to Dartsedo, it is entirely green. You can drive along a river and meet a town called Dartse Do County. It was the chief and central place for trading Tea between China and Tibet. The traders traveled so far long distance with carrying herbal medicines from the Tibetan plateau to sell in exchange of the tea grown in YA An town which is one of the towns in Sichuan area.
Day 04: Dartse do - Lhagang monastery
more ore less it takes 280KM from Darse Do to Lhagang Monastery. While you travel you will observe some big mountain passes and beautiful grasslands dominated by Tibetan Nomadic camps. Whenever you reach there you will see three typical hills, located at northern side of Lhagang town and those three hills are believed to symbolize the three Bodhisattvas, Manjushree, Avaloketsavara and Vajarapani so
Day 05: Lhgang monastery - Tawu town
Visit Lhagang monastery which is popularly known as Lhagang Gon Thondrol Samdrup ling Choede. The Lhagang monastery was built by very brave and famous King SongtsenGampo in the 7th century. He was also brother in law of Nepal too. These days the monastery influence by Sakypa sect. After finished visit to Lhgang monastery soon you will start your journey to Tawu.TAWU is a small county which is considered to be one of the most attractive parts of Tibet.
Day 06: Tawu - Dargo county - Kardze
Now, you will found some Khampa villages and learn life style and the design of the houses hold with kind of energy and carry unique future.Similary,you observe monasteries and beautiful farming lands in Kham. Then you can visit Kardze monastery built by Mongolian King in 13th century and it is a pretty big Geluk pa monastery and one of the biggest Geluk Pa Monasteries in Kham area.
Day 07: Kardze - Derge
The journey of Kardze-Derge is quite warm and soon you will meet Mani Gang monastery on the hillside 3 Km from the main road and also found pretty lake called Yilhun Lhatso just before Trola Pass 5000meters. There the beautiful glacier of the snow mountain beside the lake also makes you feel pleasure. After passing by Trola pass, you will be reach Derge.It is the border between Sichuan and Tibet
Day 08: Whole day sightseeing in Derge
The monastery dedicated to Sakya pa sect was rebuilt in 1980s. Derge Printing house is a magnificent three-storeyed building with original frescoes that were blackened by smoke during the Wanton destruction of the 1960s, but recently restored with pains taking care.
Day 09: Derge - Chamdo
From the side of the pass more than over 4900Mt you will have a fantastic view of the village and nice monastery called Wara and white stupas to the other side of the river from the chief road. Chamdo was the capital city of the eastern part of Tibet in the past.
Day 10: Sightseeing Day in Chamdo
Kalden Jampaling Monastery was founded in the 15th century by one of the Tsongkapa's disciples, Jangsam Sherap Zangpo. It is the largest Gelukpa establishment in the Kham region and the development of the monastery was maintained over the centuries by the successive incarnations of Pakpa Lha whose father Kuchor Toden, had been an actual disciple of Tsongkapa. The most revered object in the monastery are the statue of Maitreya or the future Buddha, Tsongkapa and his two main disciples, Kedrup Je and Gyeltsep Je and the statues of 16 arhats respectively.
Day 11: Chamdo - Pasho
Chamdo to Pasho,it takes 300 km and today gradually you meet unique nomadic camps, flocks of Yak and Sheep grazing on the vast grassland bottom of mountains. After reaching Pomda in the Yu-chu valley we will have Zar Gama La Pass (4,618m) and descending through 180 switchbacks to the Upper Salween River and cross Nakchu Zampa Bridge at Po. Continue through the Pomda Highlands to Pasho. Pashoe is a small county where some basic guest houses are available.
Day 12: Pacho - Rawok Lake - Lunang
Journey of today cross through,deep green forests,flowers and fruit trees, follow the Equng Tsangpo rivers. On blue sky day, Gyala Bari Snow Mountain on your left stand with height 6800M display it magic.
Day 13: Lunang - Nyingtri - Darksum lake
Today's scenery is a beautiful village on the other side of the valley situated in the grasslands, beautiful muster seed flowers, Sekyim la Pass over 5000Mt from which you can see a good view of mount Namchak Barwa stand over 7000Mt. The journey of the Lunang-Nyingtri-Darksum Lake is 180Km
Day 14: Darksum lake - Lhasa
The height of Darksum Lake to Lhasa is 360 KM. You will drive along the Brahmaputra River on your left side of the road and beautiful green forest with lovely flowers and buds of fruit tree till Kongpo Gyamda. Now soon, the scenery become changing from the forested gorge into more opened area with grassland with Tibetan nomads and nomadic camps.
Day 15: Sightseeing Lhasa, Potala Palace, Jokang temple, Barkhor
The morning visit of grate and wonderful Potala Palace create design of peace in your soul. It is the highest palace in the world stand with more than 3,700 meters above sea level. The Palace is dominated by golden roofs and from the top of the golden roofs; you can have a bird-eye view of the whole Lhasa city the beautiful Lhasa River, tracts of fields, tree-shaded villages and the glistening Jokhang Temple. And Afternoon visit Jokhang Temple, first built temple during the period of Tibetan King Songtsan Gambo in the 7th century, features Buddhist prayer wheels, reclining deer, and golden sutra streamers.
Day 16: Sightseeing Drepung and Sera monasteries
Drepung monastery is the largest monastery in Tibet, built in the 15th centuries by one of the famous Tibetan monks called Jamyang Choeje. The monastery is located up in a hill at the distance of 15 Km from the old section of the city. The monastery was considered as colleges in the olden days where all Tibetan man could study. Sera monastery and see the most interesting monks debating. Sera monastery was built in the 14th century by Jamchen Choeje, a famous desciple of Tsongkapa, the rounder of the yellow hat. Sera are one of the six biggest monasteries in Tibet.
Day 17: Lhasa - Gongkar airport
After visit world the most famous Potala palace and ancient city of Lhasa we drive along the Lhasa River which is the biggest tributary of Brahmaputra, emptied in to the Bay of Bengal in India and fly to Kathmandu the capital city of Nepal. The length of Lhasa to Gongkar airport is 60Km.
